Hi I’m Laura, OzMo Artisan Chocolates began with a simple promise to my children from when they were young, Oska and Morgan — that when you follow what you love, something meaningful can grow from it, hence the name OzMo.

Creativity has always been part of my life. Before chocolate, I work as a photographer and have, published two photography books, including one on Glastonbury Festival and another documenting the 2014 Somerset floods.

In June 2024, I attended a course at the Chocolate Academy in Banbury, exploring a long-standing passion for chocolate. It was inspiring — and, if I’m honest, a little overwhelming. I stepped back for a while, but that spark never left.

Everything changed that October when I decided to create handmade chocolates as Christmas gifts for my hairdressing clients. What started as a simple idea quickly grew into something much more. With further training in cocoa butter artistry, including time with James Parsons of SoSaSe Chocolat, OzMo began to take shape.

Since then, the response has been incredible. From retailers and corporate clients to wedding couples and individual customers, the encouragement has been both humbling and motivating.

Today, I create small-batch, artisan chocolate boxes from my home in Street, Somerset, focusing on seasonal collections for popup’s and local farm shops I also do bespoke orders. Every piece is designed with care, creativity, and attention to detail.

This journey wouldn’t be the same without my family. My children, both working in film, media, and music, continue to inspire me with their creativity. And my husband Luke — official taster of the “broken ones” — provides constant support (and honest feedback). We both now run a monthly chocolate tasting club in Butleigh at Sourdown Farm usually the 3rd Friday of the month.

At 57, I’m proud to be building something new — a small, creative business rooted in passion, craftsmanship, and the joy of making something truly special.
