Behind the Chocolate Dream
Hello!
OzMo Artisan Chocolates began as a promise to my children, Oska and Morgan: that when you follow what you love, wonderful things can happen. I’ve worn many creative hats over the years, from photographer to author, publishing two photography books including a Glastonbury Festival and a book documenting the 2014 Somerset Floods.
In June 2024, I took a course at the Chocolate Academy in Banbury to explore a long-held love of chocolate. It was inspiring… and, I’ll admit, a little overwhelming. I put it aside until the October, when I decided to make chocolates as a unique Christmas gift for my hairdressing clients (my day job). That simple idea sparked everything. Suddenly I needed a name, and as Chair of the local Chamber of Commerce, it felt like the perfect moment to put a small creative business to the test.
With more training in cocoa-butter artistry, with James Parsons of SoSaSe Chocolat two new clients arrived almost immediately, I haven’t looked back. My children, both in film, media, and music, have been wonderfully supportive with advice and creative input. A thank you to my husband, Luke official taster of the “broken ones” thank you for your constant love and encouragement.
This new venture has brought me so much joy, especially the incredible feedback from retailers, corporate clients, wedding couples and chocolate lovers alike. At 57, I’m proudly carving out my place in the luxury chocolate world from my home in Street, Somerset. I truly hope you enjoy my chocolates as much as I love creating them.
